not too hard to make.

a pretty packaged delight.

keeps forever.


almond biscotti

150g flour
90g sugar
1 tsp baking powder (4g)
dash of cinnamon
1/8 tsp salt (1g)
90g almonds (i used shelled halves)
75g eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract (10g)


preheat the oven to 170 degrees celcius.
mix all dry ingredients together.
knead in the eggs and the vanilla extract, until you can form the dough.
roll it into a longish form.
press down sides slightly.
bake for the first time for 25 minutes.
remove from oven and let cool.
(if your making a second batch, leave the oven on, if not it might be wise to turn it off in between baking.)
cut into 1 cm wide stripes and bake again for 10-15 minutes at 170 degrees until golden brown.
let cool and enjoy with a hot coffee!


chocolate hazelnut biscotti

25g butter
80g sugar
50g eggs
150g flour
30g cocoa
1/4 tsp salt (2g)
100g roasted, shelled whole hazelnuts


preheat the oven to 170 degrees celcius.
mix all dry ingredients together.
knead in the eggs, butter and the vanilla extract, until you can form the dough.
roll it into a longish form.
press down sides slightly.
bake for the first time for 25 minutes.
remove from oven and let cool slightly.
(if your making a second batch, leave the oven on, if not it might be wise to turn it off in between baking.)
cut into 1 cm wide stripes and bake again for 15-18 minutes at 150 degrees until dried thoroughly.
let cool and enjoy with a hot coffee!

mandel biscotti

150g mehl
90g zucker
4g backpulver
prise zimt
1g salz
90g mandeln (ich habe geschälte benutzt)
75g eier
10g vanille extrakt

heize den ofen auf 170 grad celsius vor.
vermische alle trockenen zutaten.
knete die eier und den vanille extrakt in den teig, bis dieser glatt und formbar ist.
rolle es in eine längliche form aus.
presse die seiten etwas runter.
backe die biscotti zum ersten mal für 25 minuten.
hole sie aus dem ofen und lasse sie auskühlen.
(wenn du eine zweite runde bäckst, kannst du den ofen anlassen, wenn nicht lohnt es sich wahrscheinlich eher den ofen zwischen backgängen abzuschalten.)
schneide die rollen in 1 cm breite streifen und backe diese nochmal für 10-15 minuten bei 170 grad bis diese gold-braun sind.
auskühlen lassen und mit einem heissen kaffee geniessen!

100g geröstete, geschälte haselnüsse

knete die eier und den vanille extrakt in den teig, bis dieser glatt und formbar ist.

presse die seiten etwas runter.
backe die biscotti zum ersten mal für 25 minuten.
hole sie aus dem ofen und lasse sie etwas auskühlen.
(wenn du eine zweite runde bäckst, kannst du den ofen anlassen, wenn nicht lohnt es sich wahrscheinlich eher den ofen zwischen backgängen abzuschalten.)
